Name: Summer Soldiers

Description: Here is an untraditional approach to the traditional yukata. We attempted to combine the concept of the Sailor Senshi with the feeling of a spring festival. The yukata themselves were constructed with a more authentic feel in mind, however, we would like to note some variations.

As a performing troupe, something easy to dance in is a must. With inspiration from "wa-loli", a Gothic & Lolita fashion, the yukata were shortened and a circle skirt worn underneath. The obi sash was also modified so it could withstand the force of dancing. Also wa-loli inspired, we wore bows in front to emulate the Sailor Senshi chest bows. However, to prevent any confusion we now have fully tied obi sashes in addition to our front sash bows. Even then, our bows can be worn as an embellishment, or as a butterfly-style obi tie.

Disclaimer: We did not style the silver "Serenity" wig, it was purchased from Cosplay Wig.

Description: Officially beginning in 2008, Lux Lunae began its career as a group dedicated to representing the characters from a selected series, through choreography, costume and music. We also work on various recreational media projects. We hope to broaden our performance spectrum in the future. As of now, we have a cast of performers and a cast who only take part in costuming. This gives our members the option to join us on the stage, but if they cannot they are welcome to join us for photo shoots as their assigned character.

Credentials: Our performers come from extensive dance, singing, theatre, or artistic backgrounds. From Master Class seamstresses to theatre students; Lux Lunae has a wide variety of talent. For more information on individual resumes, please refer to the member profiles. Despite this, we are in no way near perfection. We do the best that we can do, work as hard as we can, but in the end this is a fun project that we enjoy taking part in. At the end of the day, fun is all that matters.

Behind the name: Lux Lunae is a Latin word combination that translates to light of the moon.

"Nos Fabula Lucus Lunae Narrabimus": We will tell the story of the light of the Moon.
